About Us
Our history, The building was constructed in 1857 as a home, it was later added on to and became an apartment building. Over the years it housed residents and offices, including an office for then MP Ron Eddy, current Mayor of Brant County. It was
referred to as the "cedars" because of all the trees that blanketed the front of the property. In 1989 a Mr. Cedar sold the property to former councillor Jack Peirce, who transformed the building into the Spruce Goose, named after the one giant Spruce tree that once shaded the front lawn. It remained the Spruce Goose
Cafe when
sisters Janet Stanley and Gail Balkwill took it over in the 90's. It
is now known as the Cedar House Grill and Martini Bar, owned and
operated by a sister and brother team, Samantha and Matt Lee.
